Zach
Zach is a medium-sized deep-orange-and-white boy; he’s absolutely gorgeous! He’s very sweet with the humans around him, as well. We think he was born in the fall of 2009.
Zach has significant inflammatory bowel disease, as well as a congenital shortened colon. There is no cure for either, but the IBD can be managed with medication and a prescription diet. Zach is on both now and will have to remain on both for the rest of his life. Note also that Zach has heart arrhythmia. His heart rate runs on the low side and does not respond to medication. Because of this, he should not be given anesthesia except in an emergency. Obviously, given his medical issues, Zach is one of our Special Needs kitties.
We understand that it will take someone very devoted to adopt Zach. But we know that such people do exist, because we’ve had so many other Special Needs felines adopted over the years. If you’re in a position to welcome a Special Needs cat into your heart and home, do consider this deserving boy.
