Tarzan

Tarzan’s history has been more interesting than we’d like, especially lately. He was rescued as a kitten by a kind older gentleman. Tarzan was this man’s pride and joy, as well as his sole companion; they were very close. Unfortunately, the gentleman passed away unexpectedly. Tarzan passed through several hands before ultimately coming to us.

He’s a medium-sized boy, mostly grey tabby, though he does have a funny white stripe down his nose, white on his muzzle and chest, and a little more white on his undersides. Tarzan has one eye that is underdeveloped. This eye never developed properly, so it seems as though he has just one eye. There is nothing to do for the underdeveloped eye unless it starts to bother him, but he was born sometime in 2010, and that eye has never required treatment, so we’re hopeful that will be the case in the future, as well. Certainly, the eye is causing him no trouble now. He has no other health issues of which we are aware.

Tarzan is sweet with people, but right now he’s rather shy (wouldn’t you be?). We will work with him, and we believe he’ll start coming around once he understands that we mean him no harm. If you have a little patience for a feline who has been through a rough time lately, come in to meet our Tarzan.
