There are things we’re told are facts, even if we’ve never seen the evidence ourselves.
Matter and energy can display characteristics of both waves and particles. There are reasonable people out there who like to listen to Kenny G. Charlie Sheen, John McCain and Vanilla Ice are all the same species.
And female FIV+ cats exist.
If you have even the faintest idea what a “gmork” is, you just earned 100,000,000,000,000 bonus brownie points.
And if you have even the faintest idea what a “gmork” is, you know that no cat, anywhere, has anything in common with one.
Normally, if you bake a cookie for a really long time, it gets really hard, and unchewable…then charred and flaming and finally a pile of crumbly ashes. Not quite the stuff of Betty Crocker.
But sometimes, a long baking period can be good for a cookie - or, rather, a Cookie.
Our cat food dish runneth over this week. Saturday seems to have unleashed some inexorable Force of Fantastic in the universe, and it shows no signs of stopping.
But there’s time enough for that later this week.
By now, we shouldn’t have been surprised…but we couldn’t help it. Not another one.
Yes, yet another cat had come to Tabby’s Place with the name…(sigh) Oreo. We couldn’t - we wouldn’t - leave him to the fate of being the 900,000th 6th Oreo at Tabby’s Place (and the third simultaneously). Something had to be done. Something serious. In a flash, Oreo the Sixth became Hydrox, narrowly evading the fate of being another Oreo.
An oft-heard comment among visitors to Tabby’s Place is, “Your cats are so big!”
Is it the Ringoes, NJ water? Are cats like koi, growing to fill their space, so that cage-free living means enormous cats? Honestly, our cats don’t look unusually large to me…well, except for a certain contingent. Some call these guys the fat cats, but I’ll stick with plus-sized, or the latest buzz word, full-fashioned. And, truth be told, these sizable sweeties are growing in number.
