Gratuitous cat photo of the day: her name was Lola

That other LolaOr, to be more precise, her name was Lily. Her name is now Lola.

And, no, she didn’t have a torrid love affair with Tony, and Barry didn’t write a song about it. Not that you wouldn’t have ample material for an entire rock opera about Lola.

Sister to Lilac and Mia, Lola bears the distinction of being one of the Best Darn Cats In The History Of Time. I’m not making this up.

Just ask her 400,000,000 fans. Go on, do it. I’ll wait.

See what I mean? Lola is out-of-this-world extraordinary. So it should come as no surprise that she resides in that awesomest of rooms, the Little Old Ladies’ crib in Adoption Room #3. And that brings me to the one unexpected thing about Lola: she is, indeed, a senior sweetheart. She may look like a spring chicken, but Lola is all of 14 years old. And that fact, alas, renders the field of adopters all too thin.

For now. ‘Cause when your name is Lola and you have a heart of 14-karat gold marshmallows, you will find your forever family.
