A Brick for Peaches

PeachesThe other day we received an online donation for a memorial brick in Cherny’s Garden for a cat named Peaches.  This was followed shortly by email about Peaches and a photo.

Actually, there are 100,000 strange things. One of them is the fact that vacation from Tabby’s Place is bittersweet. I’ll be out of town through Wednesday this week, and just the thought of it makes me ache a little a ton for Webster and the whole crew.

Secret lovers: Trey & Cypress

CypressIf there were a tree growing in Adoption Room #2, we’d see a heart scratched into its side, complete with Cupid’s arrow shot through. Scraped into the middle would be the initials: C + T = TLF (true love forever, for those who have been more successful than me at forgetting middle school acronyms).

And now, even without that telltale heart, Cypress and Trey’s secret is out.

Diluting lymphoma

PreciousI’ve always had mixed feelings about the description “dilute calico” (or its counterpart, “dilute tortoiseshell”).

“Dilute” seems so…thin. Weak. Faded. Why not “pastel calico?”
