Blink has made a complete 180!
When Blink first arrived via local animal control, she was underweight, sick with an Upper Respiratory Infection (URI), and weak. We were immediately worried about the damage her URI had done to her right eye, as it was one layer of cells away from rupture. We hoped that, with an intense regimen of various antibiotics and the comfort of a foster home, Blink would recover and an eye removal would not be necessary.
Blink has done very well and continues to improve every day. So far, her eye and overall health are improving and she does not need surgery, although we will continue to monitor her progress.
As she has gained some weight and energy back, Blink’s personality has begun to blossom. She is an incredibly sweet but slightly nervous girl who loves to play. She loves to run around the room, climbing over furniture and chasing toys, and will go crazy for wet food. She loves to stretch on a good scratching post and rub her entire body in piles of catnip. Blink also can be a little bit of troublemaker at times – squeezing herself into drawers and knocking over the occasional plant.
