When Lydia and Delia first came to Tabby’s Place, their fosterer nicknamed them the Spicy Meatballs. Having lived outside as community cats for the first few months of their lives, they were fairly unsocialized and unaccustomed to being handled by humans.  At first, they hid and hissed. They were oh-so-cute, but they did not want to cuddle. In fact, they wanted absolutely nothing to do with anyone with two legs. Slowly but surely, however, they began to trust. Their love of toys and all things food related helped their caretakers develop a relationship and show these feisty babies that people aren’t so bad after all. They’re still a little shy, but with some patience and a wand toy, you can earn their affections.

Of the two pipping hot peppers, Delia as been more outgoing sister. Whenever lunch is about to be served, she rubs against her playpen, impatiently waiting for you to pet her as she devours her fancy feast.  Her gorgeous yellow and amber eyes beckon you closer and she loves to follow wand toys with her intense gaze, waiting for just the right moment to strike.

Lydia is the calmer sister and is a bit more reserved. She needs a bit more time to come out of her shell, but if you bring out the toys, she will jump for joy! Lydia launches herself across the room after every feather and string. She may not (yet) be a lap cat, but she never tires during playtime.

This dynamic duo would love to find the perfect home, preferably together. If you are interested in adopting them, please fill out an application and come to visit them!
