We’ve run across many curious feline names over time, names for which we can’t provide an explanation. Shiny has one of those names. Many cats have glossy fur that could almost be said to be shiny, but Shiny just…doesn’t. Her fur has a matte finish. Even with a good bit of Tabby’s Place TLC under her proverbial belt, her coat has yet to acquire a certain shininess, but the optimistic attitude of whoever bestowed dear Shiny with her name.
Shiny came to Tabby’s Place through a local Animal Control unit, so we don’t know much about her history or where she spent her early years. At any rate, Shiny is a lovely, sweet girl. She has proven herself to be gentle and very laid-back and there just isn’t much that she makes a fuss about. It’s easy to tell that she had a good experience with people early in life, when she was impressionable.
Shiny loves to find a good spot to curl up and watch the world go by. She would love to find a quiet home where she can sit by her Forever Family’s side. Shiny also gets along fine with other calm cats as long as they don’t make too much of a ruckus. She would do well as a solo cat or in a home with another cat of similar temperament.
This placid, amiable girl deserves a home of her own, one where she can be loved just the way she is. Could you be her forever family?
