Spend any time in our community room and you may occasionally here a purr loud enough to vibrate an entire desk. The little motor behind that rumble is our beloved Tux!

Tux is a mature, stately fellow, but he has the booming purr of a spry young fellow. He has the demeanor of a cat who has been through a lot in his time, but he is always friendly and ready to greet visitors. He enjoys long naps in his sunny window perches and cuddles with his cat friends, but he also loves to tussle with a catnip toy. In other words, Tux is the best of many worlds!

As a young stray, Tux was hit by a car. The impact crushed his pelvis, but he survived and eventually healed from his injuries. After the accident Tux was bounced around to four different homes before finding his way to Tabby’s Place. Despite all he’s been through, Tux is an all-around good guy. He’s wonderful with people, cats, and has even lived with a dog before.

Tux is grateful to finally have some stability and security in his life here at Tabby’s, but he longs for a family to call his own. Could you be his match? Come and visit him during our public hours. Please see our Visit Us page for updated information.
