Like too many other animals, Harley was simply abandoned by his previous owners. We feel fortunate that we had room for this sweet-natured guy. Harley is a large, long-haired, black male who was declawed at some point earlier in his life. He's very mellow, and though he's new, he's quickly becoming a staff favorite due to his fine personality. Harley hasn't encountered other cats at Tabby's Place just yet, but he's made no objections when he sees and hears other felines.

There is a possibility that Harley is in the very early stages of renal failure, but we are not yet certain of that. Cats in the early stages of renal failure can and do live happily for months, even years, before the disease progresses, but this possibility is something to think about. Harley is currently having a few dental issues, too, but we'll be giving him a cleaning very shortly and expect it to take care of those difficulties. Otherwise, he's a beautiful, fluffy boy, about 13 years of age. We know he's not a fit for everyone, but we believe there's someone out there who's an ideal match for our wonderful guy.
