Virginia is a pretty tortoiseshell, whose distinguishing characteristics are an orange right hind foot and a large orange patch on her chest. She was declawed at some point earlier in her life, so she must live indoors only. Our best guess is that she was born in the spring of 2007.

Virginia is friendly with people and can be quite the chatterbox. She also loves to play, a nice plus since she's a very large girl. Miss Virginia doesn't seem to like other cats very much; although, she does tolerate them. She just prefers they keep a reasonable distance and stay away from her food.

Likely due in part to her large size Virginia has arthritic knees. We've seen no signs that they bother her now, but she might have some additional issues when she's older. For example, she might not be able to jump as high or as far as she can now; if she loses weight, it will help her in this area. To aid in this we've started her on a diet that we recommend she continue in her new home. Otherwise, Virginia is a healthy, sweet girl, just waiting for the right person or family to walk through our doors.
