Another common reason people give for giving up a cat is that they are moving and “cannot take their cat”.
Frankly, we are always flabbergasted when we hear this excuse. (We know that there are instances when moving is a valid reason for giving up a cat, but these cases are rare exceptions.) There is no reason why you can't expend a little extra time andeffort and find a suitable place to live where you can keep your cat.
